Andean Condor Press Conference

How do you make a splash about a new visitor experience? Add a bird like no other and bring her in with a bang. Carolina Raptor Center introduced "Tillie" to the world at a press conference on December 14, 2021, onsite in front of her enclosure. All press materials were provided in English and in Spanish. A B-roll package of Tillie in action was provided to reporters. Three staff people spoke on different aspects of the training, natural history and significance of the new species. As she posed for the camera, board member Pacino Mancillas translated and provided information on the cultural significance of the Andean Condor. Three videographers from the Charlotte market, Spectrum News 14, WBTV produced pieces in English (2) and in Spanish (1) on Matilda, Andean Condor.
